Perth to Warmun via Kununarra

Bike ride to Virgin Aust flight terminal 4.


After 1 hour 40 minute ride in the rain reach T4. Arrive only to find the VA plane to Kununarra leaves from T2. Dash to T2 by Taxi $25 as too late to get a free bus there. At 1050 am have to get to T2 for boarding at 1120. Fortunately the plane was delayed. 

Energy food on the Virgin Australia Flight. ANZAC cookies and chicken sandwich.

Lena Nyadbi from Warmun who painted the famous 'Barramundi Dreaming' painting on the roof of Musee De Quai Branly in Paris. It is a painting of giant Barramundi scales. The helicopted pad for trips to see the Bungle Bungle rock formation.

Road kill on the drive from Kununarra to Warmun. Kangaroo on the road for the birdds. 
Takes about 2.5 hours to drive from Kununarra to Warmun. 

Rock formations to climb.

Beware of large and oversize trailers.

Halls Creek here we come.

You can stop by Doon Doon Station.

Fly from Kununarra to Darwin. The dam in Kununarra brings water to the desert. 


Staying at the Meleleuca in Darwin. Beware the crocodile in the lobby.



Then fly form Darwin back to T4 in Perth. The bicycle safe and sound in the parking bay.  1 hour 50 minute ride home. Rain clouds in the horizon.


Hot shower and warm food at home.
